         Federalism is a dual government system in which a country is divided in to two sets of government system in which a country is divided in to two sets of government, national and autonomous government in provinces. As an alternative to regionalism that did not prove quite successful, federal system has newly been adopted.

Some of the important mountain peaks are Kanjeroba, Sisne, Patarasi. There are two beautiful lakes- Rara and Foksundo. Rara lies in Mugu and Foksundo in Dolpa district. The climate is extremely dry and cold. River Karnali and Bhari are the two important rivers. Karnali is the longest river of Nepal. There are Rara, Shey-Phoksundo and Bardia National Parks. Swargadwari is a famous religious place of Mid-Western Development Region. Mid-Western Development Region has the least density of population in terms of area.

5. Far western development Region;

The Far-Western Development Region is the smallest development region. The eastern boundary of the Far-Western Development Region is River Karnali and its western boundary is River Mahakali. Far-Western Development Region is influenced by the monsoon wind which is coming from the north west which brings enough rainfall in winter. Thus, Far-Western Development Region gets more rainfall in winter than in summer. Hence, Far-Western Development Region is comparatively less drier than the Far-Western Development Region. During the summer season extremely hot wind called Loo blows from the Thar Desert of India towards the terai of Nepal. Such winds affect Mahendranagar, Dhangadi and even Dipayal in the north.
